Oil prices rise 2%, Brent settles at $89.70 per barrel

New York [US], August 28: Oil prices rose by more than two percent at settlement on Thursday, ending a three-session losing streak.
Brent crude futures gained US$1.86, or 2.1 percent, to settle at $89.70 a barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose $1.30, or 1.6 percent, to $83.53 a barrel.
