The journey from King of Rap to the international stage.
Phao, whose real name is Nguyễn Diệu Huyền, was born in 2003 and began to gain widespread recognition after participating in King of Rap in 2020. During the show, she attracted attention for her rapping skills, songwriting abilities, and distinctive performance style.
Before appearing on television, Phao was active in the underground community and gained attention with her rap and hip-hop-infused works. Emerging from King of Rap , the female rapper continued to develop her own musical path, expanding her image from an underground artist to the mainstream market.
One of the notable milestones in Phao's career is the song " 2 Minutes More" . The remixed version of the song went viral on international social media platforms, helping the female rapper gain wider recognition outside of Vietnam. The song also contributed to making Phao one of the young Vietnamese artists whose products have garnered international attention.
After that, Phao continued to release many products and participate in various music projects. She pursued the image of a versatile artist, rapping, songwriting, producing music, and appearing as a model. Phao's style is built on individuality and modernity, while also emphasizing visual elements in her products.
In 2024, she surprised everyone with her buzz cut when she participated in the show "Sao Nhập Ngũ" (Celebrities Join the Army ) . However, it wasn't until the show "Em Xinh Say Hi" (You're Beautiful, Say Hi ) and then her leading role in director Tran Thanh's film "Tho Oi" (2026) that Phao became widely known.
In May 2026, Phao attracted attention when she unexpectedly registered for Miss Grand Vietnam 2026. This was a rare occasion for the female rapper to try her hand at a beauty pageant, showing that her image was not limited to music. After the preliminary round, she unexpectedly announced her withdrawal due to a failure to reach an agreement with the organizers on some conditions during the working process.
