Hanoi [Vietnam], September 16: Leading the box office in early screenings, the film 'Len Hương' starring Hồng Đao and Hồng Vân is expected to surpass the 100 billion VND mark in the near future.
According to Box Office Vietnam data, as of September 15th, the film "Len Huong" (Rising in the Mountains) by directors Khuong Ngoc and Tan Hoang Thong has surpassed 38.2 billion VND after 5 days in theaters. The film's revenue on September 14th was over 6.2 billion VND, equivalent to more than 85,000 tickets sold. Since its release, the project, starring artist Hong Dao and People's Artist Hong Van, has consistently topped the box office, even far surpassing its competitors.
"Len Hương" is a psychological-family drama film. Borrowing the story of "sleeping in a coffin for good fortune," directors Khương Ngọc and Tấn Hoang Thong portray glimpses of the current state of the Vietnamese funeral industry in general, and some other traditional professions. Each character is consumed by a stubborn desire to preserve their memories and conceal their emotions to the point of extreme behavior, leading to heartbreaking situations and pushing loved ones away. The film features performances by artists Hồng Đao, People's Artist Hồng Vân , Meritorious Artist Tuyết Thu, Vo Tấn Phat, Le Hạ Anh, Quốc Khanh, Thiếu Lan, and others.
"Upcoming Love" is structured as a story that is both relatable and emotionally rich, where everyday situations are presented in various lighthearted ways so that the audience can laugh, empathize, and sometimes reflect on their own loved ones. Tan Hoang Thong also revealed that the work contains many images and memories associated with his family. Many details in the film are taken from familiar things in life , from means of transportation and spaces to the images and stories of the characters.
