Tran Thanh's Lunar New Year film receives good news despite being 'outpaced' by competitors.

Hanoi [Vietnam], March 11: According to Tran Thanh, after becoming a sensation in the domestic market, 'Tho Oi' will be screened internationally, with plans to hit the US, Thailand, South Korea, and other countries.
Through his personal page, Tran Thanh announced that the movie " Bunny " will be screened in 14 countries worldwide . Specifically, the film, directed by Hari Won's husband, will be released in the US, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and several European countries.
Tran Thanh said he would update the specific release date later. However, the director added: "It's been released internationally, but the film is still showing in Vietnam." Besides that, the Rap Viet MC also hopes that audiences will continue to go to the cinema to support the project he is passionate about.
Tran Thanh's dedication to 'Tho Oi' (Oh, Little Rabbit)
"Thỏ ơi" (Oh, Little Rabbit) marks the return of Tran Thanh after the success of "Nha Ba Nu," "Mai," and "Bo Tu Bao Thu" (The Four Conspirators) . However, in this project, the director brings a different flavor. In his previous works, he often focused on family dramas with many humorous elements. " Thỏ ơi," however, features love stories that are both dramatic and edgy, with a mystical and haunting atmosphere. Tran Thanh stated that he always aims for novelty in his productions. Therefore, he always wants to try his hand at many different stories and explore various aspects of life.
One of the new things in "Thỏ ơi" is the participation of new faces such as LyLy, Phao, Vĩnh Đam, Văn Mai Hương. Trấn Thanh said that his criteria for choosing actors is always based on suitability for the role, not on acting experience. He felt a similarity in the soul of the character with these young faces, so he decided to choose them to work with him on the project.
Besides that, the film also marks Tran Thanh's return to acting with more screen time, instead of the small, humorous roles he played in "The Four Leopards" . He revealed that he initially planned to only direct this latest project, but then thought that fans wanted to see "actor Tran Thanh" in theaters during Tet. Adding to that, with the withdrawal of one of the actors, Hari Won's husband decided to take on both roles simultaneously.
Since its release, "Rabbit, Oh My Rabbit" quickly topped the box office for several consecutive days. Recently, the unexpected success of " Tai " caused the film to be overtaken, ranking second in daily revenue, according to Box Office Vietnam data.
To date, Tran Thanh's film has surpassed 437.1 billion VND, placing it in the top 5 highest-grossing Vietnamese films after " Red Rain," "Mai," "Flip Face 7: One Wish," and "Mrs. Nu's House ." Tran Thanh stated that he doesn't prioritize competition or age classifications. According to the director, if you choose to make a psychological drama, you have to do it thoroughly, preserving the spirit of the genre, instead of worrying about how the rating will affect the audience or revenue.
