“Fascist regime...” B’desh’s newly formed party leader slams Sheikh Hasina, aspires transformation

Description: Dhaka (Bangladesh), August 02, 2025(ANI): National Citizen Party joint-convenor Tajnuva Jabeen said, "It's been one year since the July uprising; we got rid of the autocratic fascist Sheikh Hasina. The autocracy was established for almost 15 years. So all the law enforcement, all the bureaucracy, all the administration were under the fascist regime... We cannot expect an overnight transformation from an autocracy to a democracy. But after one year, we can talk about everything. We can ask our interim government about the actions they are taking and the reforms we are debating in favour of democratic transformation. And everybody is in participating in the talk, in the dialogues and in the seminars. And Everybody is open to the country. In the last 15 years, we have not talked. There was no chance to talk against the government. There was a law to stop our voices. There were forceful disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and looting of all the private banks. And there was an empire of autocracy. But in the last year, it stopped, and we have started to transform into a democracy. So I think the process is slow, it's not like the one we expected one year ago. But it's there. The progress is there."
