Yamal's uncle criticises decision to award Kane

Berlin [Germany], October 28: Lamine Yamal's uncle, Abdul, expressed great displeasure after Harry Kane won the Ballon d'Or instead of his nephew.
"The truth is it's really sad, I feel really bad. My nephew was amazing, he was the best player in the world, everyone knows it. If you like football, you go to watch Lamine, not Harry Kane," Abdul said, criticizing the decision on the Spanish radio show El Larguero.
"Since Lamine is young, they always say he has time, he's 19, and that's why they're not giving him the award. Harry, with about three days of football left, they're saying, 'come on, we'll give him the award'," he added.
Barcelona's Yamal finished third behind Kane and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe.
"He's won the World Cup, La Liga, and the Super Cup. He's had an incredible season. He scores goals that no one else can. Passes, assists - everything," Abdul said.
Before the award ceremony, Yamal had hinted that he didn't think Kane deserved to win the prestigious trophy.
"I believe the award should go to the world's best player, full stop. Not to a player who's scored 80 goals because when you score 80 goals, you're given the top scorer award for the season," he told Movistar in September.
"These are very different things that people aren't understanding.
The best player in the world is the one who, as a pundit, makes you watch the match and enjoy it; you see him, and he's a player who stands out from the rest." "I sincerely believe that there are two of us in the world and this year I would deserve it for what I have won. For me, Mbappe and I are the two best in the world. For me, it's clear and everyone who watches the games knows it." Kane scored 73 goals last season for club and country.
